RF Chip-and-Wire Layouts

Problem

Layouts on two DoW programs were drawn from scratch every time. Reviews kept re-checking the same basic geometry, and nothing carried over from one board to the next.

What I did

I catalogued the footprints, clearances, and ground returns of the blocks that kept showing up in AutoCAD and turned them into a shared library. I wrote a layout standard so reviewers could check a board against it instead of re-deriving it.

Every revision and release went through SolidWorks PDM. Review feedback went back into the standard, so the library improved with each board.
