Problem
Competitor spec sheets don't tell you whether a product will still be competitive when it launches. For that you need its figures of merit compared against where the state of the art will be by then.
What I did
I pulled competitor datasets, derived figures of merit for each market, and fit a trend line that projects the state of the art forward to the launch window. I built the dataset, the plotting tool, and the analysis behind it.
Result
One chart shows whether the product lands ahead of the state-of-the-art line at launch, so reviewers don't have to cross-reference spec tables. It was used in internal reviews to make the competitiveness case against a documented baseline.
