Problem
PLM tools show part relationships as tables. Engineers want to see what's upstream and downstream of a part without scanning rows.
What I did
I made the dependency graph the main view and built revision state into it. Searching for a part highlights the section of the graph around it.
I tested navigation on representative assemblies and tuned the interaction from there.
Result
Test users found upstream and downstream parts faster than in a table-based PLM, with fewer clicks per part.
